Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 3080 Vulcan OC (OVERVIEW)

Nvidia has unveiled its new Geforce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090. These three graphics cards benefit from the new Ampere architecture, with increased engraving finesse and increased performance. As many flagship companies release their customised graphic cards , Colorful realses their iGame GeForce RTX 3080 Vulcan OC.

overview:

The GeForce RTX 3080 iGAME VULCAN OC is powered by NVIDIA GA102 GPU paired with 10GB of all new GDDR6X graphics memory. Another cool thing the performance button on the IO panel of the card, you clock it and the card boost clock is now 1800 MHz (90 MHz higher than the reference), and it's memory clocked at reference 19 Gbps (19 Gbps reference).

As for the cooling system the company  applies a three fan cooler for the VULCAN ( se the image bellow )

And as you can see here is another feature in this card ; it’s got a flip-in screen on it :D which it make it pretty stylish.

1/Packaging:

2/The card :

Display connectivity options :

standard DisplayPort 1.4a Display Stream Compression (DSC) 1.2a support )

HDMI 2.1

You can also see the large "Turbo" button, which lets you switch between the default BIOS and the Turbo BIOS in fact the default BIOS runs at reference settings with 1710 MHz boost and 320 W as power limit in the other hand the Turbo BIOS runs at 1800 MHz boost ( a 90MHZ higher )  and 370 W as power limit.

Ps:

There is no USB-C port

DSC 1.2a can lets you connect 4K displays at 120 Hz and 8K displays at 60 Hz

2/Teardown :

The backplate is made out of metal which protects the card against damage during installation and handling. Note the integrated heatpipes, which add a little bit of extra cooling.

You can also see the lighting panel for the RGB functionality.

The mounting system is very well thought out; there is no sagging or other movement, the whole card feels like one solid piece.

Colorful's heatsink uses a vapor-chamber base paired with six heatpipes to keep the card cool. You can also see a numerous thermal pads that provide cooling for the VRM circuitry and the memory chips .
